I decided last night if I didn’t find anything better I would cheat on today’s photo (taken a couple hours early). I photographed at the Pistons game Friday night. Shirley and Ava also attended. We had a great time.
Part of my duties were on the court. It has been couple years since I’ve photographed a Pistons game. It was good to freshen up the portfolio.

I was walking around the University of Detroit campus today. My mission was to take care of some business that I usually don’t have time to do before my Tuesday basic photography class .
I took the opportunity to photograph some of the beautiful architecture on campus. Posted is an image I created of the “Chemistry building”. I played with one of my camera raw preset filters (that I created) to help bring out an historic feel to the photograph.
I believe the texture of the building and the filter created good chemistry. What do you think?

I had a very long, rough day. Up early and not many things going my way. It is one those days that I could have easily said… What 365 project?
I snapped this shot at the Detroit auto show while covering Chrysler for some international press clients. I’ll be back there tomorrow. I should have time to look around and shoot a little more.
My other assignment was a beautiful 20,000 square foot home. I spent most of the day on location. I can’t show images now, but I know some will make it to my portfolio. We are going back to shoot more images of the house in the spring.

Today when we looked out our 2nd floor window, someone was staring back. With better eyesight too.
I ran to my office to grab my camera. I put on my 200mm 2.8 lens and shot Raw knowing I might need to make adjustments. I took a number of shots through the window screen. I didn’t want to scare our friend away.
After I was happy with a few images I opened the screen to get a clearer shot and maybe a little closer. The bird immediately spread its wings and flew away. I tried to capture the flight, but all I got was an out of focus wing or two.
No award winner today. I have a feeling this image will be the extent of my animal nature photography in Detroit this winter.
